What is Tantra?

An Immersive Journey in Tantric Philosophy and Practice

We begin the 250 Embodied Yoga Training with a supportive container of daily meditative practices including mantra, pranayama, satsang and Tantric rituals.

From this steady ground of sadhana, we will open the doors to the lineage of Non-dual Shaiva Tantra and explore the infinitely resourcing teachings of this revelatory philosophy.

Tantra is a radical call to meet the divine in every moment, every interaction, every contraction. It’s not only what you do when you slip into flow, meditation or reverence to the divine. It’s also what we do in between all those moments. Non-dual Shaiva Tantra teaches us that the one expresses as the many, so the divine is in the concealment as much as in the expansion. There is nothing that is not an invitation to deepen your connection to the teachings. Meeting the divine in the hidden corners is a practice in opening yourself up to more of life.

And this is essentially what Tantra is. Becoming intimate with all of life.

As we begin this immersion in Tantric philosophy and practice, you will begin that journey of intimacy with one another, with the teachings and with yourself. As we meet week after week in this four week initiation, we will greet one another with mantra, Bhakti, prayer and devotion.

Each session will include a satsang where we explore the core teachings of Non-dual Shaiva Tantra, including the 5 Acts, the 5 Powers, the 4 Levels of the Word and the 3 Impurities .

As a group, we will study sutras, cultivate a scholarly community, assist one another in practice and engage deeply with the underlying philosophy.

6. Strengthen Your Embodied Yoga Path

This module sets the tone for the broader 250 hour Embodied Yoga training, preparing you with the philosophical grounding and meditative steadiness needed for the more complex Tantric practices to come.

7. Explore Tantric Texts With Guidance

Enter into text-based study in community, supported by satsang and inquiry, so that the teachings become alive, relevant and integrated rather than abstract.

8. Learn How to Bring Tantric Philosophy Into Everyday Life

Discover practical ways to meet challenges, relationships, work and creativity as expressions of the divine, so practice is no longer something separate from life, but woven through it.

9. Awaken Devotion and the Heart’s Intelligence

Through mantra, Bhakti, prayer and ritual, you’ll strengthen your connection to something larger than yourself and soften into a more receptive way of being.

10. Build Confidence in Your Spiritual Voice

By engaging in group dialogue, asking questions and sharing reflections, you’ll refine your inner knowing and begin embodying the philosophy rather than simply learning it.
